Resting In Jesus’ Finished Work At The Cross

“Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.” [Matthew 11: 28-30 Message Bible]

Christianity is not about being so boastful of what we have in Jesus, it is not about the usual rituals we used to do in order to lessen the sins we commit on a daily basis, it is not about praying whenever we want to but Christianity is about a real relationship with Jesus Christ, having been communing with Him on every second of our life. Jesus hates religion and what we have with Him is not religion but the real love, real relationship between a son and a father. We may have our earthly father but our real father is always there to take care us. God doesn’t us to be stressed with anything that affect us on this earth, we are expensively bought by Him on the Cross and we carry His mark. He doesn’t want us to always think of what we need to eat for tomorrow, or what to wear. That’s how faithful our God is, that’s how loyal and caring our father is.

Many times in the Scripture, He mentioned that we need to find rest in Him and let Him do the rest – which is true. Why? Because we are worthy in front of His very own eyes. He died for us so we may live, and live an abundant life. Whenever we rest in Him, He works for us.

If you think you are having a heavy burden in life? Call unto Him, cast your cares to Him and find rest in Him.
